Home Security System
There are an
array of different home security system. There are burglar alarms set up
to keep people from entering the home. There are driveway alarms to
alert a home owner when someone enters their property. There are simple
alarm system like smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors. All of
these types of detectors can be used to build an integrated security
system. Brinks home security system and ADT home security system are two
good examples of how all of these aspects fit together to make a
complete security system. In order for a home owner to know what they
need in a home protection product they should understand the different
types of security alarms. The first major
alarm aspect to consider is the alarm trigger. The trigger is what is
tripped that sets the alarm off. There are two types of triggers:
electrical circuit or motion. With an electrical circuit an intruder has
to actually step into the path or otherwise break the circuit in order
to trigger it. Motion detectors offer a larger range of coverage as only
movement need be detected to trigger the alert.
Besides the type of trigger there are categories that each type of
burglar alarm system falls into. Single premises alarms are the category
of detector that smoke detectors fall into. They warn of a particular
safety concern like fire and CO2. This category also includes door
alarms that alert the homeowner of a specific area where there is a
safety concern. Local area systems cover the whole home and an alarm
sounds if any area is compromised. Telephone dialer systems are like a
local area system except that they dial to a specific programmed phone
number if the alarm is triggered. Continually monitored security systems
are like Brinks and ADT, mentioned earlier. These system require a
subscription service that monitors the house and shows any problems. The
security center monitors the home and receives any messages if the home
is compromised and can then call for assistance.
Which type of home alarm system a person chooses is going to be based
upon their particular needs. Considerations when choosing what type of
security system to use are the amount of valuables in the home, the
likelihood of an intruder and the amount of time the property is
occupied. If a person has little valuables they may find a locked safe
and single premises alarms work good. If a person lives in a low crime
area they may opt not to use a high tech monitoring alarm system. For
people that are not home often a wireless home security camaera may be best since
there will always be someone to watch over the home. It is all a matter
of personal choice and preference. Every type
of home security alarms works great. It all depends on individual needs.
Each type of system has something to offer in protection. Each type of
system also will add a sense of protection to a home.
